Because Sherlock is too in love with Adler to care for Molly romantically (or too inept to?), that is pretty much all I can hope for. wtf no he is not in love with Irene I am of the opinion he is either in ROMANTIC! love or INTELLECTUAL! love with her. She did manage to best him, somewhat. And he does regard her highly, I think. I mean, he did go infiltrate a terrorist cell and save her life. I think that’s as close to love as he’s gonna get, not counting his obvious MAN! love with John.
